After a three-year absence, the multi-format and multi-platinum pop sensation is set to unleash her first single since the Grammy-nominated smash "Hips Don't Lie." The lead track from her new studio album, "She-Wolf" will be released worldwide on July 13th. Music fans will be able to obtain the track as a download and on CD. The Spanish-language version of the track, "Loba," can be heard at Shakira's MySpace.
Written and produced by Shakira and John Hill (Santigold), "She-Wolf" finds the artist experimenting with electro-pop coupled with lyrics spinning a wicked tale of a she-wolf. Expect the video directed by Jake Nava later this month to expand on the sexually charged photography of the single's artwork. Shakira's still-to-be-titled album is set for release this October with a Spanish-language follow-up disc scheduled for 2010.
